How it all started...
I started a cookbook club in Pune in March 2017 for a bunch of reasons:

I'd attended something similar in Bangalore and I knew more people (who cook!) would be interested.

My employer decided he didn't want to pay us because he lied to us. So we stopped working. Kinda. And I was house-wife-ing for a bit. Kinda. And I had time on my hands.

I was unable to travel owing to a bunch of reasons and cooking out of new books seemed to be the only way I could read AND learn about new cultures.

Meeting like-minded people didn't seem like a half bad thing to do.
So, I got in touch with Sahil, and then one thing led to another, and here we are.
Why The Cookbook Nook?
(because it made the most sense on Instagram?)
We're a handful of like-minded individuals who love to cook. And obviously, love to eat! A lot of us have full-time jobs, NOT in the culinary world, and this is where we come alive! We welcome you to join us and have a good time (only, once you're we have our rules about attendance)!
